As the carrier of a rare gene, Sirantha Jax has the ability to jump ships through grimspace-a talent which makes her a highly prized navigator for the Corp. Then a crash landing kills everyone on board, leaving Jax in a jail cell with no memory of the crash. But her fun's not over. A group of rogue fighters frees her...for a price: her help in overthrowing the established order.

Grimspace by Ann Aguirre, narrated by Suzanna Duff was fantastic. I really enjoyed this one. It took me a few chapters to get into the narrators style especially when it came to male voices but she quickly grew on me. Grimspace is filled with action packed fight scene, loads of wit and snark from Sirantha, our heroine, and a riveting world unlike anything else. I don’t know what took me so long to start this series but if you love a kickass heroine, you’ll love Sirantha Jax. She’s a no nonense, say it like it is, and everyone who doesn’t like it can go F*** themselves type of girl. I’m exciting to see what unfolds in the next book. Grimspace definitely grabbed my attention.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Ann Aguirre has been a clown, a clerk, a savior of stray kittens, and a voice actress, not necessarily in that order. She grew up in a yellow house across from a cornfield, but now she lives in Mexico with her husband and children. She writes all manner of genre fiction for adults and teens.
