Coffee and Characters is best known for design in the book industry.

Working primarily with independently published authors, we realize how important it is to have the tools that will make you successful. In an effort to cater to our client’s needs, we have started to host virtual book cover design workshops. These are 4-week workshops structured for “at your own pace” learning.

Our first workshop kicked off in Winter 2017 and was a huge success so we decided to do it again. This is what some of our participants had to say.

“I took Danielle’s Design Workshop and loved it. I learned plenty of skills: easier ways to accomplish things I previously struggled to do plus many new techniques. In addition, Danielle helped with composition and how to address genre through many examples. I’ve signed up to learn more in her next course!” — Marsha A. Moore

“Danielle’s Design Workshop is the bomb! Photoshop can be overwhelming but Danielle made it all feel easy and relevant, focusing on the tools, tips, and tricks aimed specifically at book cover design. If she ever does an advanced course I’m sticking my hand up!” — Jane Hinchey

Our next workshop event will kick off the third week of April 2018. We will be focusing on building book covers using photoshop, and this course is geared towards authors with little to no photoshop experience. I’ll show you only what you need to know, and none of what you don’t.

So if you want to know how to go from this blank stock image

Participants need to have access to Photoshop whether it be CS4, CS5, CS6 or the CC subscription. No other Adobe programs will be used in this course.

The cost of the course $150
