So as an author myself, I try not to read my friends books because well, I don’t want them to read mine. It makes me feel weird. Don’t ask, it just does. That said, when my good author pal Jerica Macmillan was describing the plot for Everything I Want, I knew I wanted to read it.
So I did.
It was amazing!
Very tropey. A second chance romance with a secret baby and it gave me all the feels. My only complaint and she’s heard it, is that I want another baby! But alas, I was the reader not the writer and well, I don’t get a say. After reading Everything I Want, which is book 3 in the series, I decided to read the two earlier books. They’re fantastic. Anything I Want is a fake relationship, friends to lovers romance. Shouldn’t want You is the forbidden attraction, single dad story.
They’re all great and made for several long nights because I just couldn’t put them down. Suffice it to say that if you’re looking for awesome contemporary romance with hot rockstar best friends, look no further.

With my parents’ anniversary party looming
and assurances that my douchebag ex will be trying to win me back …
I need a boyfriend.
And I know just who to ask—
My best friend since high school.
Now the frontman for the hottest band on the planet.
Hot. Available. Famous.
And he’s always been there for me no matter what.
But nothing about his kisses feels fake, blurring the line between make believe and reality until it disappears. When he starts talking about forever, it feels so right.
My ex isn’t deterred, though, and he’ll do anything to get what he wants.
Even blackmail me.
Now I’m faced with an impossible decision. What do I choose when I end up destroyed either way?
When I answered the ad looking for a nanny willing to travel
I was desperate for a job.
And this would be the perfect escape from the end of the world as I knew it.
I thought my boss would be an overworked businessman
Not the broody guitarist for the alt-rock band on everyone’s lips
He’s everything I shouldn’t want—
The epitome of sex, drugs, and rock ’n’ roll.
And a single dad.
He’s also impossible to resist.
The way he takes care of his two-year-old son,
The way he takes care of me …
But when I give in to this rock god,
Will my world come crashing down all over again?
Or does he have the ability to put it all back together?
She was the one who got away …
Even now, five years later,
as a member of Cataclysm,
the rising star of the alt-rock world,
I still think about her.
Compare all women to her.
So when she gets pulled up on stage at a concert,
I know I can’t let her get away.
But she drops a bomb that turns my life upside down—
I’m a dad.
I have a four year old daughter.
Now I’m forced to face the demons of my past
and come back home.
Because I’m determined to get to know my daughter,
whether her mother likes it or not.
But the more time we spend together,
the more those old feelings push aside my anger.
Does she still feel the same way?
Or is the time and distance between us too much to overcome?
