After barely escaping the machinations of his terrifying mother, two all-knowing seers, and countless bloodthirsty siblings, the last thing Julius ever wants to see is another dragon. Now that he's got an in with the Three Sisters, Julius has become a key pawn in Bethesda the Heartstriker's gamble to put her clan on top.

My Review

After listening to Nice Dragons Finish Last, I had really high expectations for One Good Dragon Deserves Another, and book 2 exceeded my expectations. I am loving this series and more than anything, I am obsessed with these characters. Julias is such a nice guy! So down to earth and genuine, and helpful to others. You can’t help but love him. Rachel Aarron hits top notch characterization out of the park and the latest introduction of Amelia is no exception and OMG I love Bob! I can’t help it, I just do, and his damn pigeon.

In OGDDA we watch Julias really grow into himself as a Dragon and we see him fight for his brother, his best friend Marci, and his clan. He breaks the mold on what a Dragon should do and paves a path for new beginnings. I cannot wait to dive into book 3 and I already have 1.5 on my e-reader (Thank you Rachel Aaron for the newsletter freebie!) I’m tempted to “read” book 3, No Good Dragon Goes Unpunished, since I listened to books 1 & 2 in audio but they’re just soooo good in audio. I’m torn, I may need to do both.

If you haven’t already, grab the books. Trust me when I tell you that the Heartstriker series is everything that you’d want and nothing that you were aware of even needing. Rachel Aaron gives such a breath of fresh air in these books.
