The New York Times bestselling author of The Black Jewels Trilogy transports readers to a world of magic and political unrest—where the only chance at peace requires a deadly price…

The Others freed the cassandra sangue to protect the blood prophets from exploitation, not realizing their actions would have dire consequences. Now the fragile seers are in greater danger than ever before—both from their own weaknesses and from those who seek to control their divinations for wicked purposes. In desperate need of answers, Simon Wolfgard, a shape-shifter leader among the Others, has no choice but to enlist blood prophet Meg Corbyn’s help, regardless of the risks she faces by aiding him.

Meg is still deep in the throes of her addiction to the euphoria she feels when she cuts and speaks prophecy. She knows each slice of her blade tempts death. But Others and humans alike need answers, and her visions may be Simon’s only hope of ending the conflict.

For the shadows of war are deepening across the Atlantik, and the prejudice of a fanatic faction is threatening to bring the battle right to Meg and Simon’s doorstep…

My Review

I cannot believe I’m writing this review so late. Vision in Silver was so freaking good that I completely spaced reviewing and just dove into the next book. It was epic, amazing, freaking fantastic! I’m not sure how else to describe it. Anne Bishop keeps surprising me. Every time I dive into a book in this series, I think to myself that there is just no way the next one can get any better, and then it does. Vision in Silver is book 3 in the series and is the first book I read. Books 1 & 2 I listened to in audio and I LOVE that I did. The narrator really brought extra life to the story and while reading Vision in Silver, I loved that I still heard the voices in my head.

I cannot put into words the obsession that I have developed with the OTHERS. They’re just amazing. Bishop breaks the boundaries of shifters in the Urban Fantasy genre and gives us something so refreshingly unique and Gah, I love Simon. LOVE LOVE LOVE him! If you haven’t started this series, you need to! I was so ignorant of Anne Bishop books until the publisher randomly sent me a copy of this book and after inquiries to other bloggers who suggested I start at the beginning, I opted to purchase books 1 & 2 in audio and get the ball rolling and thank god I did! I’m still kicking myself for how long it took me because I was totally missing out.
