They are the Hidden.
Not quite human. Far from normal.

And never, ever safe . . .

After her father falls victim to a serial kidnapper, cunning Dragon shifter Lyra Slade is determined to rescue him. When she discovers a clue to his disappearance that leads her to a sexy but aloof stranger, she knows she shouldn't trust him to help her, but she's run out of options.

Archer Grant, a descendant of fallen angels, is reluctant to aid the beautiful dragon because her evidence implicates his own brother . . . But when his brother also goes missing, Archer must work with Lyra to uncover the truth. But even as a supernatural desire grows between angel and dragon, they are hunted by an evil force. Faced with the deadliest of dark magick, can even love save them?

my thoughtsAs a prequel to the series I think Dragon Rising does a good job setting the foundation for what appears to be a promising series filled with magic and excitement. I will say that I think Dragon Rising could have been a full length novel. When I got to the end I wasn’t ready and think more could have been added but Lyra and Archer made for entertaining characters and the mystery surrounding Lyra’s brother kept my interest piqued.

Jaime Rush added just the right amount of steam to make this a great paranormal romance read. Our main characters had some great witty dialogue that really allowed you to connect with them and honestly, you can never go wrong when there are dragons involved. Dragon Rising is a fast paced, action packed prequel that will have you eagerly anticipating the next book in the series.4 coffee cups

about the author

Things that go bump in the night have always fascinated Jaime Rush. Sometimes those things are human; other times, not so much. Her new Hidden series reveals humans with the essence of gods who walk the knife’s edge between Miami and a magical world of passion and danger. Part dragon, angel, or sorcerer, they must fight their own kind, demons, and the lure of their darkest nature.

Jaime is the author of the award-winning Offspring series and writes romantic suspense as Tina Wainscott. Altogether she has published twenty-four novels and five novellas. Contests, sneak peeks and more at

The Offspring series is about a group of twenty-somethings who live ordinary lives but possess extraordinary psychic abilities. They are the Offspring of parents involved in a mysterious experiment gone awry. Sexy…dangerous…outcasts… They are being hunted by the government and others like them. Together they must find the truth and fight an enemy out to destroy them.

I also have an alter ego. Jaime Rush is a pseudonym for Tina Wainscott, my real name. As Tina, I wrote 18 books for St. Martin’s Press and Harlequin, some of which have won Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart award, the Maggie, and RT Book Reviews Reviewer’s Choice Awards. I am in the process of bringing out many of these books as e-books under Tina Wainscott!
