#1 New York Times bestselling author Ilona Andrews launches a brand-new Hidden Legacy series, in which one woman must place her trust in a seductive, dangerous man who sets off an even more dangerous desire . . .

Nevada Baylor is faced with the most challenging case of her detective career—a suicide mission to bring in a suspect in a volatile situation. Nevada isn't sure she has the chops. Her quarry is a Prime, the highest rank of magic user, who can set anyone and anything on fire.

Then she's kidnapped by Connor "Mad" Rogan—a darkly tempting billionaire with equally devastating powers. Torn between wanting to run and wanting to surrender to their overwhelming attraction, Nevada must join forces with Rogan to stay alive.

Rogan's after the same target, so he needs Nevada. But she's getting under his skin, making him care about someone other than himself for a change. And, as Rogan has learned, love can be as perilous as death, especially in the magic world.

my thoughts

Once again I am blown away by Gordon and Ilona’s masterful writing. This writing duo creates magic filled worlds with creative characters filled with just the right amount of snark. Let me just say that I’m obsessed with Mad Rogan. He’s impulsive but not. He is certainly use to being in control, and Nevada gives him a run for his money but she isn’t anyone’s play thing. She is smart and witty and independent. This isn’t your typical PNR. The romance is on the lighter side but we know that we’re being led into it and the sexual tension…just WOW that is all I can say about that.

This reminds me a bit of their Edge books. Not quit UF but not quit PNR either yet completely addictive and wonderful. Honestly, who cares what genre the book falls into, it is amazing and thats all that really matters. If you’re an Andrew’s fan, Burn for Me will not disappoint. This book is unique and unlike anything I’ve read before. It’s magic with a twist that keeps you wanting more. Now, many of you know that Ilona Andrews is my all time favorite author. In my eyes, they can do no wrong but here is why…They never disappoint. There is never a time when I read an Andrews book and think, ehh It could have been better. Never, not once. I have loved and obsessed over each and every book including their self-pubs. It is rare to find an author than can put out book after book and not once does the quality in writing ever take a dip.

I am thrilled to see where this new series leads us. By far one of the best series debuts I’ve read in a very long time!

about the author

“Ilona Andrews” is the pseudonym for a husband-and-wife writing team. Ilona is a native-born Russian and Gordon is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army.

Contrary to popular belief, Gordon was never an intelligence officer with a license to kill, and Ilona was never the mysterious Russian spy who seduced him.

They met in college, in English Composition 101, where Ilona got a better grade. (Gordon is still sore about that.) They have co-authored two New York Times and USA Today bestselling series, the urban fantasy of Kate Daniels and the romantic urban fantasy of The Edge and are working on the next volumes for both.

They live in Texas with their two children and many dogs and cats.
